Professional experience:
Akash was born in New Delhi, India. He came to Houston in 2001 and has been a Texan/Houstonian for more than twenty years. At the University of Houston he earned his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance in 2003. Akash is multi-lingual. He speaks English, Hindi (the official language of India), Gujarati and Haryanvi. He is active in the Indo-American community and has over 20 years of industry and public accounting experience prior to acquiring Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC as a managing member in 2019.
Akash gained extensive and valuable experience as a member of several national CPA firms including Big 4 accounting firm. He has worked with multiple high net worth individuals and is a trusted advisor for their family offices. His professional focus is in tax planning for individuals and privately-held businesses. Akash has built a solid reputation for delivering tailored solutions for individuals and business clients.
At Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC, Akash oversees the Firm’s audit and review engagements, tax return preparation, estates and trusts issues, employee benefit plan development, implementation and administration, and assists in solving many complex tax, accounting and planning problems related to closely-held businesses. He works closely with clients developing strategies to improve their operation performance and bottom line.
Akash offers a full range of professional accounting and tax planning experience in a number of industries, including manufacturing, non-profit, medical, printing, and consulting.
Akash acquired the Firm in 2019 as a managing member. He is married, has two children (a 17-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter) and resides in Houston.

Roger A. Flood, III, CPA, BBA

Professional experience:
Roger was born in Adams, Massachusetts but has lived in Houston, Texas for fifty years. Roger earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1963 and passed the CPA exam in 1968.
Roger gained extensive and valuable experience as a member of several national CPA firms before he started his own practice in 1975. Roger practiced as a sole proprietorship until he merged with Billy E. Kallus, CPA, in 1979 to form Flood & Kallus P.C. In 2000, Steve Yen CPA became a shareholder and further in 2019 Akash Gupta, CPA acquired the firm to form Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC.
After 44 years and with Akash coming on board, Roger decided it was time to cut back and now has retired. Roger still likes to come into the office and meet with client as well as Akash, Steve, and Billy. Roger still enjoys tennis and Astros baseball games, and has recently taken up pickleball!
Roger would like to say “Thank You” for all the support, encouragement, and friendship that our clients have provided over these 44 years. It was a great ride and it’s not over! See you around at the office!

Professional experience:
Billy is a native Houstonian and completed all of his education in Houston. In 1967, while a junior at the University of Houston, he joined Fox and Company, a large national firm and stayed with this firm after his graduation from the University of Houston, gaining large, national accounting firm experience. He subsequently merged with Roger A. Flood to form Flood & Kallus P.C. in November 1979.
At Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC, Billy emphasizes business automation by utilizing the state of the art technology available on the market. Billy makes sure that the Firm stays on the cutting edge of technology with all of our computer hardware and software.
Billy provides extensive knowledge of every conceivable type of accounting and tax problems associated with closely-held businesses. With over 50 years of accounting plus over 40 years of real estate expertise, Billy has been able to advise many clients as an independent consultant regarding real estate accounting and tax issues.
Developing a firm philosophy that he wants to help every client save taxes on their earnings during the early years of their career, Billy is also dedicated to protecting their assets in the later years of their career. His expertise in asset protection is well respected by all of his clients.
After over 50 years of founding and nurturing our firm, Billy was delighted to announce his retirement and step back from the day-to-day operations. He is filled with pride and excitement for the future that lies ahead and believes the story of innovation, growth, and excellence continues. He extends his deepest gratitude to dedicated employees, loyal customers, and steadfast partners who have been the pillars of FKYG’s success.

Steve was born in Hong Kong. He came to Houston in 1973 and has been a Texan/Houstonian for over forty years. At the University of Houston he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting with honors in 1976 and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance in 1977. Steve is multi-lingual. He speaks English, Mandarin (the official language of China) and Cantonese, and is active in the Asian-American community.
At Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC, Steve manages the Firm’s compilation and review engagements, tax return preparation, estates and trusts issues, employee benefit plan development, implementation and administration, and assists in solving many complex tax, accounting and planning problems related to closely-held businesses. He works closely with clients developing strategies to improve their operation performance and bottom line. He also monitors the Firm’s Peer Review and quality control program to insure that all accounting and auditing work products are professionally prepared in compliance with standards established by the AICPA.
Steve offers a full range of professional accounting and tax planning experience in a number of industries, including manufacturing, non-profit, medical, printing, and consulting.
Steve has been with the Firm since 1987. He is married, has two daughters (a “Longhorn” and an “Aggie”) and resides in Sugar Land, Texas.

Nancy Dollar, BBA

Professional experience:
Nancy has been with Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC since 1990.
Nancy has extensive work experience with Quickbooks™, QuickbooksPro™, Creative Solutions™, Lacerte™, and Microsoft Office™ Products. She handles most of the Firm’s compilation and bookkeeping engagements, including the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns, bank reconciliations, payroll and sales tax returns, property tax renditions, franchise tax returns and new business setup. She also assists other professionals in the preparation of income tax returns for Corporations, Partnerships and Individuals, and information returns for employee benefit plans.
Diane Roberts
Professional Experience:
Diane is the Office Manager at Flood, Kallus, Yen & Gupta PLLC and has been with the Firm since 1987.
Diane oversees the day-to-day operations and other administrative staff of the Firm. She performs daily bookkeeping services and prepares monthly financial statements for the Firm and other related entities. Diane also performs bookkeeping and payroll services for other clients, including preparation of a great variety of tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041).
Diane has extensive hands-on knowledge with using various tax and accounting software including Quickbooks®, Quickbooks Pro®, Creative Solutions®, Lacerte®, and their integration with other Microsoft Office® products.
With many years of working experience in industry and public accounting, Diane also assists other professionals in the preparation of income tax returns for individuals and closely-held corporations.
Diane is married, has two children, seven grandchildren, and has resided in Spring, Texas for over 50 years.

With a distinguished career that includes tenure with an international firm, Ed founded Kaminski & Company, P.C., establishing a reputation of excellence and client-centric service.
Ed’s affiliation with professional associations, including the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, reflects his dedication to advancing the field of accounting. Additionally, his involvement in various charitable organizations highlights his commitment to giving back to the community. In a recent development, Kaminski & Company, P.C. has merged with FKYG. While this merger marks a new chapter for opportunities and growth, Ed and his team will remain dedicated to delivering the highest standards of accounting and tax services to clients.
